This complex modelling course takes participants on a step by step journey of modelling a complex residential dwellings from start to finish.

This course is suitable to achieve the nationally recognised qualification – CPPHES5001 – Conduct thermal performance assessments of complex residential buildings

Participants will learn how to apply software tool functions and modelling methods suitable for complex building types, construction methods and materials as well as running simulations to determine if the potential thermal performance of the complex dwelling complies with regulatory requirements.

The Hero Complex modelling training goes deeper into the latest version of Hero. It covers, but is not limited to Advanced split zones, elements & modelling on a range of complex residential dwellings.

At the successful completion of this course the Hero team will give you a bonus of $330 Hero Certificate Credits

Prerequisites?

The entry requirements for this course.

Participants must:

  • Have successfully completed the HERO’s Free Online Training Course – HERO 101
  • Have a broad familiarity with NatHERS Tech notes.
  • Have experience with reading and extracting information from plans, drawings and specifications for residential buildings
  • Be able to use a personal computer, including basic word processing, spreadsheet, and email programs and internet search engines.
  • Have a demonstrated capacity in literacy and numeracy.

The HERO Complex modelling training goes deeper into the latest version of HERO. It covers, but is not limited to Advanced split zones, elements & modelling on a complex residential dwelling.

The main objective of this course is to assist assessors understand HERO and energy rating in greater detail than were taught in the HERO introductory  course.

The outcome is a greater retention of knowledge and skills that can easily be transferred back in the work place.
