The Complete Guide to NCC 2022 Section J Assessments

Take the next step into commercial energy efficiency with EIB’s comprehensive online NCC 2022 Section J Course. Designed by industry professionals, this course delivers the practical skills, knowledge, and confidence you need to carry out Section J assessments accurately and efficiently.

Delivered entirely online, the course includes approximately four hours of streamlined video content, supported by interactive worked examples and practical resource documents. The training focuses on real‑world application, making it easy to understand how Section J requirements are applied in practice.

To help you get started, the course includes a free introductory video outlining the scope, key features, and how the training supports your professional goals. From there, you’ll work through a detailed, step‑by‑step walkthrough of a complete Section J assessment using a realistic worked example.

Participants are provided with plans for an office building with an attached warehouse and guided through how each element of Section J applies, both to the worked example and to commercial buildings more broadly. This hands on approach ensures you can immediately apply your learning to real projects.

The course also clearly explains the key differences between NCC 2022 and NCC 2019, allowing you to confidently conduct Section J assessments regardless of when NCC 2022 is adopted in your state or territory. This makes the training both current and future ready.

By the end of the course, you’ll have a clear understanding of Section J compliance pathways and assessment methodology, enabling you to expand your service offering with confidence.

This course is ideal for:

  • Thermal Performance Assessors entering the commercial energy efficiency market
  • Architects and designers aligning projects with NCC 2022 requirements
  • Building certifiers seeking clarity on Section J assessment and reporting

Upon successful completion, participants receive a Certificate of Completion, with CPD points awarded.
