Enrolment Information

Enrolling with EIB

Our enrolment process is as simple as submitting the enrolment form online, after which we will get in touch with you regarding any necessary supporting information.

You may also wish to consider if you are eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning which may enable you to complete the training without paying the full fee.

Flexible Training Pathways That Recognise Your Experience

At Education in Building, we understand that many professionals entering the home energy efficiency and NatHERS space already bring valuable industry experience, technical knowledge, and real world skills. That’s why our training pathways are designed to be flexible, efficient, and tailored—so you can gain your qualification without repeating what you already know.

This nationally recognised qualification can be achieved through several delivery options, depending on your background and career goals:

  • 100% online training – Self paced study including full software training
  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) / Skills Assessment – For experienced professionals
  • A combination of training and RPL – The most common and efficient pathway

Whether you’re transitioning from building, design, energy assessment, or a related field, we’ll help you choose the fastest and most cost effective route to qualification—without compromising quality or compliance.

All training is delivered online, allowing you to study around work and personal commitments while receiving structured guidance and support from experienced, industry active trainers.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) – Save Time and Reduce Costs

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) allows your existing skills, knowledge, and experience to be formally assessed against the units of competency within the qualification. If you already meet the required standards, you may be able to reduce both study time and course fees.

RPL is not an automatic exemption—it is a structured, evidence‑based assessment process aligned with the requirements of NatHERS Assessor Accrediting Organisations, including HERA, ABSA, and Design Matters. This ensures your skills meet national training and accreditation standards and are recognised across the industry.

To determine your eligibility, EIB provides each student with an individual assessment and personalised quote. To support this process, we ask you to submit relevant evidence of your experience, which may include:

  • A brief CV or work history.
  • Copies of licenses, certificates, statements of attainment, or training results.
  • Evidence of industry workshops, seminars, or professional development.
  • Memberships of relevant professional associations.
  • References or letters from employers or supervisors.
  • Any additional documentation that demonstrates your competency.

If you’ve completed identical units with another Registered Training Organisation, you may also be eligible for credit transfer.

Our goal is simple: recognise what you already know, minimise unnecessary training, and help you achieve your qualification efficiently, confidently, and cost‑effectively.
